This place is so cool! I’m a history/haunted places enthusiast, so when I saw this was one of the oldest bars west of the Mississippi...I was in. This has the old west feel, with friendly staff, cold drinks, & delicious food. The bar is stunning & ornately designed. We went during lunch, but there is a smaller area for bands, & live music to play during busier evening hours. Would definitely recommend stopping in after visiting & touring the real mine—Country Boy Mine just up the hill, 8 minutes drive from The Gold Pan.
We had an incredible lunch here! Goat tacos, soup, salad, sandwiches, brunch. Literally everything was good! We sat out back on the patio and had great service to match the weather. The mimosa (not on menu), old fashioned, and cranberry mule were all top notch. Walk down Main a little further to discover this gem!
What a find!!! If you love over-priced, trendy, tourist-traps in Breck, then this is NOT the place for you. This is, however, a fantastic place for everyday people who like to eat hearty portions and not go broke doing it. The atmosphere is relaxed and cowboy-casual. The staff were friendly and attentive. The pancakes were great, the huevos rancheros were great, but my GOD, the garlic aioli on the burger was out of this world. Bonus: the coffee (black) was good! It was strong and came with an adorable cream carafe. We did not order the breakfast burrito, but we saw several tables that did and it was massive. I'd easily consider this to be the best place in Breck to grab lunch at. It is perfect if you're passing through and want to sit, eat, and unwind a little.
Loved eating in this historical saloon yesterday for lunch. The atmosphere in this place is lively. Got a dusting of snow and these Floridians got a little cold. We sat near the wood burning stove. It was so cozy. I got a regular hamburger with fries. It was cooked the way I asked (medium well). Husband got the roasted pulled chicken tacos. They really piled on the chicken which is opposite of what we usually get when ordering tacos at other places . . . not a lot of meat. Service was quick. Food didn't take long to come out. Bathrooms were mostly clean except for the pigs, I mean ladies, that left pieces of toilet paper all over the floor.
It was a very, very busy Saturday in Breckenridge. People were everywhere, inside the retail shops and outside in the streets. It was just past noon when we got seated. It was crowded but there was a very short 10 mins wait before being seated. Choice of dining at the bar, on the main floor or on the outdoor-umbrella-shaded patio. Once we ordered our food, it took a bit of wait for 2 Cheddar Cheese Burgers and a Gold Pan Burger. My family had the cheese burgers and they didn't think it was anything special, just a regular cheese burger. On the other hand, I had the Gold Pan Burger and it was different and yummy. I would definitely recommend that you spend just a couple dollars more to get the Gold Pan or Breakie Burgers, just to try something different, new and a little bit more exciting to your taste buds. I would also recommend getting the Garlic Fries, they were so good! When we were leaving, the live band was just starting to play out at the back, on the outdoor patio. Sounded pretty good! Overall, customer service was also very good. Restrooms were clean.
Andrea was an amazing server. Made us laugh and gave history of the saloon. The Cuban sandwich reminded me of home in Florida and it went well with the brown butter old fashioned. Definitely check it out if you’re in town
Me and my whole family had an absolutely amazing experience. Our bartender Nick did a great job. Had us laughing the whole time and the service was a phenomenal and don’t even get me started on the food. I left happily stuffed.
Amazing spot on Main Street. Historic building with unique charm and appeal. Highly recommend the Colorado Bulldog drink. Staff is professional and friendly. Our server, Aaron treated us like royalty. Aaron will ensure you’re well take care of and leave you laughing in the process! Thank you, Aaron!
